'Working with her taught me many slendergs about textiles and hand-painting batik. I like her dedication to her work and her concern for the people working with her. In 2000, I started my own shop, creating dresses with hand-painted batik textiles. I get the motivation from fashion magazines, taking designs I like and adapting them to Indonesian culture. I work with rayon, cotton, linen and crinkle cloth using sulfur and remasol colors. I have built my career step by step. I started by asking my neighbors to come to my place to look at my mixture and place orders if they like it.
